Boob Police Strike in Keene
By Kat Kanning

No one visibly objected as 18 year old Cassidy Nicosia walked shirtless down Keene's Main Street and then back up again. Several men walked shirtless with her. There was no screaming in fear by bystanders. According to one participant in the walk, no one really seemed to notice; that is, until the Keene Boob Police showed up and started blocking traffic and drawing attention to the “situation”. Police presence there drew a crowd of onlookers, many of whom were supportive of Cassidy's walk.
When confronted by Boob Police, Nicosia asked what law she was breaking. Officer Bowers stated law as “You cannot expose your body in a fashion that causes panic or alarm,” causing crowd that assembled to burst out laughing because of the absurdity of the young lady's breasts causing a panic. Bystanders pointed out that women breastfeed in public and this does not cause alarm. They also pointed out that the three police cars were causing much more alarm and disturbance.
Police radio during Cassidy's detainment on Main Street has officers saying, “Without a victim, I don't have a crime. I'm going to have to let them go.” Apparently, no one felt victimized enough to be the official complainant to the police. But she was nonetheless arrested and charged with indecent exposure and lewdness before being released. Arraignment has been set for September 9th at 8:30am, Keene District Court. None of the topless men attending the event were arrested, nor was a second topless woman who lounged on the Boob Police's front lawn while Cassidy was under arrest.
