Radicals try to wall in Federal Compound in Concord

A small group of anti-Fed activists attempted to barricade the Federal employees into their own compound in central Concord, New Hampshire on Saturday January 9th, 2010. They held signs explaining some of their problems with the U.S. government. They said the wall was to protect the people from the thugs and spouted extreme left and right wing slogans like "End the War" and "Taxation is Theft".

They began constructing a siege wall surrounding the Fed Compound. The wall consists mainly of large granite blocks originally installed to protect the U.S. government outpost. The gaps were being filled with ice and snow. The construction workers got particular pleasure trapping the Federales behind a wall of their own making.

There was no response from the valiant "public servants" who toil within the Ministry of Love located on Pleasant St. One retired cop (working on his 2nd pension) strolled along the pathways outside, but made no move to stop the construction of the snow barricade.

I think both sides claimed victory in this 1 hour standoff. None of the Federal employees breached the seige wall between 11am and 12. On the other hand, the short attention span activists left with the wall only partially complete and some observers felt that the government workers would be able to escape later in the day.

Next month the freedom fighters will return to place their own statues on top of the granite blocks. We will report on their success or dismal failures.
