Cheshire County Jail Superintendent Richard Van Wickler spoke to a packed room at Keene State College about the futility of the drug war. Superintendent Van Wickler is a member of LEAP, Law Enforcement Against Prohibition. LEAP's mission is to end the war on drugs and thereby save lives, lower the rates of disease and addiction, and conserve tax dollars.

Please join us for an informational talk about how the UN is determining curriculum in our public schools and why there are so many questionable academic methods in use.

This is information every parent needs to know about how the UN runs our schools via Federal Government mandates such as Goals 2000, school reform, etc. and how parents are being sold a UNESCO program called International Baccalaureate for big $$ which is more of the same.

If you plan to send your children to public schools you need to know the purpose of public education before you make this decision. A group of concerned parents and taxpayers from Bedford NH will present, led by Anne Marie Banfield and 35-year teacher Jane Aitken.

The date is Tuesday, April 29, from 6:30pm-8pm, First Assembly of God Church in Auburn NH upstairs in the Kid's Church Room.

A Heated Conversation about Marijuana with Senator Molly Kelly

Keene area Senator Molly Kelly called me back for the very first time ever today. I originally called to ask for her opinion on the marijuana decriminalization bill that the Senate will be hearing soon. I wish I had recorded the call. Allow me to break it down for you:

David Krouse of Keene took a stand against theft by government and won. He refused to register his vehicle and refused to pay the ticket resulting from his stand. David came before the Keene District Court, told Justice Burke he was engaging in civil disobedience and that he would not pay any fines. Justice Burke found him guilty, gave him an $83.33 fine, and suspended the whole fine and let David go. The following is David's statement, part of which was read before the court.

Manchester, NH, March 10, 2008 - The Shire Silver team is proud to announce the final design for the first run of a locally produced, open source precious metal exchange bullion.

Purpose

The purpose of the Shire Silver project is to produce a metal bullion that is easy for anyone to produce, easy to exchange, easily recognizable, and easily distinguishable from any government-issued currency or bullion.

Keene 10:00 am: March and Rally

Peace March and Rally to mark the 5th anniversary of the unjustified invasion of Iraq, and 5 years of a bloody, costly, and counter-productive occupation. Assemble at 10:00 am at the Main Street entrance to Keene State College for the procession to Central Square and the rally from 11:00 to noon. A strong showing will our let our leaders know that, despite the pressures of everyday living, real people have not forgotten this extended conflict, and we want our troops withdrawn swiftly and safely. Ed and I were captured in the evening of Thursday, October 4, 2007, after making our stand in our home since January.

The previous weekend, Dutch/Dan was introduced to us by one of our trusted friends and supporters. He and Dutch/Dan arrived unexpectedly at our home very late one night, around midnight as I recall. Dutch/Dan had been working his way into the confidence of our friend for some time, professing to be a supporter and sympathizer of us and our cause.
